Questions

Straight answers.

Who pays the fee, the buyer or me?

The buyer. Venore's 10% + £0.80 is added on top of your price and shown as its own line before they pay. You receive your full ticket price.

Do I need to set anything up before selling?

For free events, nothing. For paid tickets you connect your own Stripe account — about five minutes, bank details and a quick identity check — and buyers pay straight into it. Venore never holds your ticket money.

When do I get paid?

Each event's takings stay in your Stripe balance until three days after the night (seven if you refund at any time), so refunds and disputes come out of the money that earned them. Then they pay out to your bank on the schedule you choose. Stripe's card fee comes out of your side and is set by Stripe for your country (about 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards, 1.5% + €0.25 for standard EEA cards); Venore's fee is paid by the buyer. Organizers based in the UK, the US and the eurozone can sell paid tickets.

Are free events really free?

Yes. No fee on free tickets, no monthly charge, no cap on how many you host. QR check-in and audience contacts are included.

How do refunds work?

You set the refund policy per event and it is shown to buyers up front. When you refund an order, the buyer gets the ticket price back, the ticket is voided and the stock is restored; Venore's fee isn't refunded. If you cancel the event, buyers get every penny back, Venore's fee included.

Do you charge for the audience tools?

No. The contacts you earn from ticket sales, consent capture, one-tap announcements and attribution are part of the platform, not an add-on.

Student societies and community groups?

Ask us. We run reduced fees for societies and community organisers during the launch period.
